Christmas Day
Merry Christmas everyone!!! Wow, what a day! We woke up to a blanket of snow covering the ground, with more snow falling all morning into the early afternoon. It was absolutely beautiful and so perfect - it really made today feel like Christmas. Below are some pictures of us with little Ethan - you can't see it but in the bottom two pictures his onesie says "baby's first Christmas" which looked exceptionally cute on him. :-) We hope everyone had a wonderful day with their families and that you took a moment to thank the Lord for his incredible gift, Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas!!!

He's HERE!!!!!!
Oh wow - how could anyone ever love someone so much...Ethan Paul Heller joined us at 6:40 pm on Friday night weighing 8 pounds and 10 ounces. He was 21 1/2 inches long. Since then, life has been more full than we could ever imagine. We went in on Friday at 4:00 am to be induced and things were progressing well until we started to see that Ethan's heart rate was falling every time I had a contraction. At first, the dips were not significant but as they increased the Petosin, his heart rate kept dipping more and more dangerously...they tried many different methods but around 6:00 pm our doctor came in and said that she was getting very concerned that continuing on would cause an emergency situation. That being said, she strongly advised that we have a C-section immediately. Needless to say, we were both scared at the sudden change but knew that we had to do it in order to make sure Ethan was okay. So, they immediatley set everything into motion for the C-section and by 6:40pm, little Ethan Paul Heller was officially welcomed into the world. And it is truly amazing and the Lord's hand, as the doctor said after the C-section that due to how Ethan was positioned (both high and facing the wrong way) it would have been impossible for us to have Ethan without the surgery and had we waited, it would have become an incredibly dangerous situation. The Lord is so faithful and good... So, below are some pictures of our wonderful little boy and us, so we hope that you enjoy seeing them. Thank you all for sharing in this fantastic journey with us and we look forward to sharing many more great moments with you.

December 6th - Due Date and Still Pregnant
In case you were wondering, this is what being exactly 40 weeks looks like. I have been having some contractions on and off but nothing consistent yet...we'll keep you posted as things develop. But either way, today was our due date and as you can see, Ethan has decided to wait a little bit longer to arrive...
